Singapore F1 Night Race 26 Sep 2010
Singapore hosts the first and on;y street night race in F1 history. The Singapore Grand Prix runs counterclockwise, which makes the Singapore race one of the only three circuits in the world to do so. The race will span about five kilometres, with 14 left-hand turns and 10 right-hand turns, meaning there will be several thrilling straights and tight turns for dramatic action. “Atmospherically probably the best pictures ever seen in F1. The scenery - it’s unreal, it’s like a movie. It’s a big, big step forward for Formula One.” -Norbert Haug, motorsport vice-president for McLaren’s co-owners Mercedes-Benz “There are few venues that do more for F1 than the sport does for them - Monaco is the only obvious example, but Singapore looks set to join it… The challenge now will be for other venues to show F1 how they can move it forward.” -James Allen, Financial Times -
